Planning a Vernon Wine Tour? Here’s What You Need to Know
Thinking About a Sip Happens Wine Tour from Vernon?
Thinking about joining a Sip Happens Wine Tour from Vernon? Here’s some help to make sure you book a tour to fit the needs of your group so that everyone has the best time possible and experiences all that the Scenic Sip wine trail has to offer!
Taking wine-tasting tours in Vernon is the most popular thing to do. Wine tastings are laid out by the locals coming from various local wineries.
The Scenic Sip Wine Region is renowned for its whites: from Pinot Gris to Rieslings, Chardonnays, and Gewürztraminers. Ample opportunity on this itinerary takes you throughout the region for plenty of wine tastings.
The Scenic Sip wine trail is located between Kelowna and Vernon in Lake Country, BC. With the presence of three beautiful lakes, namely Okanagan, Wood, and Kalamalka, Lake Country has rightly picked up its name. Lake Country receives over 2,000 hours of sunshine annually.
This makes Lake Country one of the fastest-growing wine regions in Okanagan. Wine tours are a great way to see many varied venues in one day, and also take away the worry of driving. Our guides are local and extremely knowledgeable. They will be well-versed in the wineries you’ll be visiting on your tour.
What You Can Expect from a Wine Tour in Vernon
During your wine tour in Vernon, on the Scenic Sip wine trail, you can expect to learn quite a bit from each winery visited on your tour, which will allow you to sample different varietals and wines (around 4 at each stop).
Sip Happens has different tours you can book, depending on which experience you prefer and how much time you have on your getaway.
1) Full-Day Wine Tour – Holy Sip Lunch Tour
Our full-day wine tours in Vernon take us to 5 different wineries on the Scenic Sip wine trail. The basic tasting fees are included, and you are welcome to purchase as many bottles of wine as you’d like. Several wineries can also ship cases home for a fee if you are unable to take them with you at the time.
This is a great option for those that are flying or already packed to the roof in their vehicle. This tour also has a lunch stop, usually reserved at The Lookout at Grey Monk or The Garden Bistro at O’Rourke’s Peak Cellars, based on availability. Lunch is at guest expense.
This tour, more or less, starts at 10:30 am. You will be picked up either from your hotel, Airbnb, or residence, whichever is suitable for you. You will then be dropped back at about 4:30 pm once your tour is over.
