Dirty Laundry Winery
The Dirty Laundry Vineyard is anything but ordinary in history and definitely not quiet. Officially opened in the early 2000s, the winery’s name was derived from a rather cheeky piece of Okanagan history. Back in the 1800s, a brilliant railwayman started a laundry business at a place within easy commute for the residents, although for the sake of patrons it accommodated, he laced something spicier, adding into it: a jumping gambling den and brothel of the time. And slowly, locals began to use a nickname in referring to the place-“Dirty Laundry-a name that would outlive the original enterprise by leaps and bounds.
Fast forward to the early 2000s when Bob Campbell and his partners decided to turn their dream of owning a winery into reality. Since then, Dirty Laundry Vineyard has grown dramatically from a modest 1,800 cases per year to an impressive 35,000, offering wines that stand out for their exceptional quality and playful spirit. Signature wines include the ever-popular Hush Rosé and award-winning Pinot Noir, which capture the vibrant Okanagan terroir-rich in flavors with a hint of fun.
But what really makes Dirty Laundry shine is how they keep it light-hearted, because, after all, wine’s always supposed to be fun, right? Whether one enjoys a glass on the picturesque patio or heads indoors to explore their vibrant selection of wines, you can count on Dirty Laundry for an experience that is enjoyable to the taste buds. This place seamlessly blends history, humor, and great wine in perfect harmony.
