Moraine Estate Winery

Tucked just minutes from Penticton, Moraine Winery is a family-owned gem with much more to it than just their wines. This unique little spot, nestled above Okanagan Lake, doles out the most striking, framed vistas over this water and its sandy shoreline from a high bluff formed by steep glaciated white clay cliffs. Having lived in Europe until immigrating to Canada seeking a new life in 1995, owners Oleg and Svetlana thought the Okanagan was well worth leaving the city life of Edmonton and making in 2009 the rather bold move downtown to develop their wine operation. Presently, both are standing proud to pursue their vocation in introducing their grape passion to guests.

In a word, Moraine narrates the story of great wine while rejoicing in the little pleasures of life in the best possible spirit. The relaxed and highly inviting setting encourages guests to simply take their time, raise a glass, and drink up from the view. Quality might be seeping through to every bottle, but most importantly, giving back gives Oleg and Svetlana that much-awaited edge. A portion of the tasting fees goes to Chalice  so every visit is a little about heart.
